Season 4 of Bunk'd was announced on November 15, 2018, by Deadline. Filming began on March 20, 2019.[1] The season premiered on June 20, 2019 and concluded on July 24, 2020 and consists of 30 episodes.


After purchasing Camp Kikiwaka—for one dollar—from the Ross siblings, the always cheerful Lou is adjusting to her new duties as camp director with her usual brand of over-the-top enthusiasm. She’s thrilled to be reunited with campers Destiny, Finn and Matteo, who have returned for another exciting summer full of fun and friendship. Lou also welcomes some new faces, including camp counselor Noah, an upbeat and enthusiastic actor from Hollywood; Ava, a tenacious counselor from the big city; and Gwen, an eccentric new camper who has spent her entire life living off the grid.[2]

Raven, Chelsea, Booker, Nia, Levi, and Tess set out on a long road trip to Maine’s Camp Champion, but a GPS glitch sends them off course to Camp Kikiwaka, a place with an uncertain future even for those who can catch a glimpse of the future.  While Raven and Chelsea hunt for Maine lobster, the kids make arts and crafts and develop feats of engineering, and then set out to find the camp’s infamous “Snipe” in Moose Rump’s Forbidden Forest. The adventure also includes celebrity piglets, hidden tunnels and a musical performance, as the newcomers forge a camaraderie with Lou, Noah, Ava, Destiny, Gwen, Finn and Matteo – and set out to own the summer.


  • New executive producers were announced to be Phil Baker and Erin Dunlap, the executive producers of fellow Disney Channel series, Andi Mack.
  • Pamela Eells O'Connell and the original executive producers are no longer part of this series, for the last 4 seasons.
  • Production started on March 20, 2019. Production was halted in March 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic along with other Disney Channel Original Series.
  • This is the first season to have been announced after the previous season ended.
  • Although this season is set within the Jessie universe, it is the first season to not star any characters from the series. It is also the second to span the same number of seasons as the parent series has, after The Suite Life on Deck.
  • As of August 17, 2019, BUNK'D has been airing the longest than Jessie. Jessie ran for 4 years and 16 days. BUNK'D passed that on August 17, 2019, and is currently running at more than 4 and a half years and is still ongoing.
    • On September 23, 2020, BUNK'D officially became the longest running Disney Channel Original live action series to run on Disney Channel after The Jersey (which ran for 5 Years, 1 Month and 23 Days). Starting October 30, 2020, this was the second longest running Disney Channel Original Series due to the series getting a fifth season renewal and production being halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic which delayed production on Season 4 and possibly Season 5. It outran Kim Possible, becoming the second longest running Disney Channel Original Series after Phineas and Ferb. Phineas and Ferb still holds the longest running time at 7 Years, 9 Months, and 26 Days.
  • This is the first show to have the highest number of episodes per season than its predecessor.
  • This season makes BUNK'D the 11th Disney Channel Original Series and the 7th non-animated series to make it to a fourth season after That's So Raven, Kim Possible, Hannah Montana, Phineas and Ferb, Wizards of Waverly Place, Good Luck Charlie, Austin & Ally, Jessie, Liv and Maddie, and Star vs. the Forces of Evil.
    • Along with the Disney XD Original Series, this is the 14th Disney Original Series to make it to a fourth season and the tenth non-animated series to make it to a fourth season, preceded by That's So Raven, Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, Good Luck Charlie, Kickin' It, Austin & Ally, Jessie, Lab Rats, Kim Possible, Phineas and Ferb, Liv and Maddie, and Star vs. the Forces of Evil.
  • This is the longest season of Bunk'd, making BUNK'D'- the first series since Girl Meets World to receive at least 30 episodes for a season.
  • This was the 3rd non-animated show to reach 30+ episodes for a season followed by That's So Raven and The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody.
  • According to Deadline, the fourth season will revolve around Lou and new campers of last season. The Ross Family would not return to the camp.[3]
  • This is the first season not to feature any human Jessie characters.
  • This is the second season not to feature any of the original characters from the first two seasons (aside from Lou).
  • During filming this season the stars also filmed other series:
    • Israel Johnson shot episodes of the second season of Schooled.
    • Scarlett Estevez shot episodes of the fifth season of Lucifer.
    • Miranda May cameoed in "Just Roll With It: You Decide LIVE!" episode of Just Roll With It.
  • This is the first show to have their opening sequence altered twice. (First Time: Season 3)
  • Production shifted from Hollywood Center Studios to CBS Studio Center, thus all new sets were constructed.
  • It was filmed on the same soundstage as the original Will and Grace.
  • This season features new characters which are Israel Johnson as Noah Lambert, Shelby Simmons as Ava King, and Scarlett Estevez as Gwen Flores.
  • This is the only season to feature Gwen though she makes a guest appearance in Season 5
  • That's Not So Funny Productions and It's A Laugh Productions were in charge of Season 4.
  • Hazel returns this season in Inn Trouble.
  • Xander is mentioned in Inn Trouble.
  • Emma is mentioned in Who da Boss? Lou da Boss!, and Inn Trouble.
  • Mrs. Kipling returned in Serfs Up-rising.
  • Miranda May makes her directorial debut in this season.
  • There is a crossover with Raven’s Home this season Raven About Bunk’d. This marked the first crossover for both shows.
  • This season makes Disney Channel History after being the first Disney spin off to be renewed for Season 4.
  • Season 4 originally had 32 episodes but 431 and 432 were cancelled due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
  • Season 4 of BUNK'D is now available on the Netflix streaming service.
